California, one of the American states, indeed holds a million beauties that cannot be denied. This is what makes it one of the main destinations for tourists to visit while in the United States.

However, behind the sparkling and beautiful California, this state also keeps a scary story. This is because one of its cities, Calico, is dubbed the ghost town.
Located between the cities of Yermo and Barstow, in 1881 it was the largest silver mining area in California. However, when there was a decrease in the price of silver in the mid-1890 known as the Silver Rush, the city began to be abandoned and become haunted.

Reportedly, in Calico there is a female ghost named Lucy Lane who is often seen in her old house and shop, while wearing black frilly dresses. That said, he was the last resident in this city, because he did not want to leave Calico and become depressed.

In 2005, the city was inaugurated by Arnold Schwarzenegger, the current governor, as California's Silver Rush Ghost Town. Since then, the city of Calico has officially become one of the tourist destinations in California.
